The Age Quiz: Are You Old Enough for Leisure Suit Larry?

Before Larry gets anywhere near Lost Wages, the original 1987 game makes you prove you're an adult with a quiz about American pop culture. It was meant to keep kids out, and in 1987 it mostly did. Today it mostly keeps out anyone born after 1970. Think you'd pass?

Take the test

Every question below is taken from the original game. Click an answer or press A to D on your keyboard. Like the real thing, you get five random questions and can afford to miss one. Hard mode throws all 30 at you.

How the real quiz works

  • After you type your age, the game asks five multiple-choice questions picked at random. Get at least four right and you're in.
  • The original 1987 version has well over a hundred questions. Most are about 1960s to 1980s American TV, music, movies and politics, and many are jokes with more than one "right" answer.
  • Can't remember who Kookie was? Press Alt+X after entering your age to skip the quiz entirely. More on that in the Trivia and FAQ.
